Finance Officer, Livelihood NETZ Partnership for Development and Justice

Job Context

Job Nature: Full-time; direct report to the Head of Finance and Administration.

Job Description / Responsibility

  1. ·         Check vouchers of expenses being made at PNGOs
  2. ·         Monitor the proper utilisation of grant fund, ensure compliance of the contract with back donors and ensure financial support to the project for successful implementation. These include supporting the efficient use of the project's financial and material resources
  3. ·         Prepare and analyse project budgets;
  4. ·         Facilittae audit of projects accordinng to rue of NGOAB and back donors;
  5. ·         Present different options for multi-year budget and revise them accordingly;
  6. ·         Train PNGOs' accountant on budgeting and finance including software based accounts system;
  7. ·         Assist the Head of Finance and Administration to deal with the internal/external audit as and when required;
  8. ·         Make useful suggestions/recommendations to the Head of Finance and Administration and Country Director to take necessary actions in regard to minimise the project costs both at the PNGOs level and NETZ Country Office level.

Educational Requirements

Minimum Masters in Commerce, preferable in Finance/Accounting; CA. CC/ ACCA partly qualified will get preference.

Experience Requirements

  1. ·         At least 3 year(s)

Job Requirements
  1. ·         Minimum 3 years in any reputed national/ international NGOs.
  2. ·         Skill in fund monitoring and management;
  3. ·         Knowledge on internal control system;
  4. ·         Good knowledge on budget and budgetary control;
  5. ·         Computer skill (word processing, spreadsheet or other FMIS);
  6. ·         Good written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla;
  7. ·         Good negotiation and leadership skill and team building ability;
  8. ·         Performance management and staff development skills;
  9. ·         Knowledge on general administration;
  10. ·         Ability to plan and ensure optimum use of available resources;
  11. ·         Experience in revolving capital fund and asset transfer programme to extreme poor will be an added advantage.

Tk. 45000 - 65000
